D. Rashaad
An Eagle Scout, Graphic Artist, Photographer, Filmmaker, Writer, Film and Music Producer born in Macon, Ga. Growing up he was always fascinated in becoming a health physician aiming to support and heal people in his community. Due to his admiration of the medical profession inscribed ”Dr” at the beginning of his signature at the end of of his earliest paintings.
He was educated in the Baldwin County/Jones County (Georgia) School System and a graduate of Jones County High School. As a self-taught artist, D. Rashaad has predominantly worked with traditional and nontraditional materials since he was six years of age.
He learned various art practices through years of studying under Allied Arts classes and his Art Class in high school, providing him an opportunity to expand his visionalistic horizons.
What motivated him to do art was that he initially planned on becoming an medical doctor or physician. But when he joined his High School's Art Club, his focus shifted towards developing incredible visual work, and that has been his goal ever since. He still have great respect for the medical profession to this day.
He once developed a graphic novel rendition of Elie Wiesel’s soul gripping life chronicle, Night for his English Literature class assignment; greatly moved by Mr. Wiesel’s experiences detailed by the author’s time living through the holocaust. Rashaad provides visual interpretations he saw in the memoir to give readers to view the journey of the author’s memories of the era.
He attended Central Georgia Technical College majoring in Design and Media Production Technology.
His output differingly ranges from soul chilling scenes to high energy and psychedelic elements . Many of which derived from evocative obscure dreams.
Due to a love of nature and botanical life, and his admiration for the Autumn Sesasons; D. Rashaad further incorporates a vast arsenal of vibrant elegantly crafted seasonal color motifs to deliver dimension and emotion to half of his art catolog .
